Anyone willing to test a weather app? I moved a lot of features from my Cool Weather app to Big Weather, so now the weather service is selectable between OpenWeatherMap, Yahoo Weather, USA-NOAA, and Forecast.io. Other new settings include using a fixed weather station, GPS refresh and accuracy options, and a half-dozen languages (English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish).
The code had to be optimized since it is a squeeze getting all these features into the limited 24,000 bytes of memory allowed per app. Probably the biggest memory savings was to eliminate floating-point operations, but these changes may have introduced bugs.
It is pretty fascinating looking at the changes between the weather services - the weather conditions are similar but not exact. Some services don't offer the same weather information, so unfortunately the cloud coverage display is sometimes blank.
