As the World Cup was coming to its inevitable end, I thought it would be a shame to throw a (somewhat) working app out the window. So I did what most of us would do: I took the World Cup app, deleted about 1/4 of the code, rewrote and optimized the rest, and gave it a redesign (well, I did change two fonts, it counts as a redesign in my book). The result: EuroFootball.
EuroFootball gives you all the live action, news headlines, and table standings from the biggest leagues around Europe and delivers it right to your wrist. No need to know where your phone is, this app is 100% configurable without it!
No further introduction needed for those who were using the World Cup app (thank you for that, by the way), but here is a rundown for you newcomers:
Browse the current viewed information via the up and down buttons, enter the menu via the select button. Hold the select button while on a match or a news headline to launch the full screen. When having a match in full screen, you will also get the last event of the game, what minute it happened, and what player was involved (See the Event legend below). Use the up and down buttons while in full screen to browse the ongoing/upcoming matches or the news headlines (if there are more than one).
Choose your update frequency: Every 60, 30, 15, 10, 5, or 1 minute(s). You can even get a vibration each time to app is updated (optional).
The following leagues are supported:
- Premier League [EN] (Starts 16/8)
- Bundesliga [DE] (Starts 22/8)
- La Liga [ES] (Starts 23/8)
